Donoshi

Donoshi was born a fairly ordinary orange Yoshi. But at a certain point, something snapped in his mind. He became obsessed with building new things. Fear clouded his mind whenever he wasn't putting something together, no matter how well or poorly it worked.

Eventually he began to recover, and was left with a plethora of semi-functional inventions and a decent grasp on engineering of all kinds. Most notably, his signature Boot-Zooka and flying boot vehicle came from this period. Now he enjoys making machines and fixing things for his friends.

Keyes

In life, Keyes was a Koopatrol who worked with the Centari Merchant Marine Corps, protecting civilian and military transports from pirates. Growing up, his entire family was murdered by pirates, and only thanks to his armor did he survive being spaced. So he hunted them.

Finally, Keyes managed to track down his family's slayers, but had walked directly into a trap. Pinned down, low on power, and unable to call for help, he made a final act of vengeance and detonated a grenade on himself, killing every space pirate on the station but also himself. But the cruel, unfair nature of his life and death bound his angry soul to his bones, and he was reborn a dry bones with the sole function of killing every last pirate. Other Dry Bones eventually tempered his soul, and he has become more like his Koopa self, but still harbors a violent hatred for all space pirates.

Chuck

Chuck is a Pianta-Yoshi hybrid, hatched from a Yoshi mother and a very brave Pianta father. They cared for him and raised them as normally as he could, but he was nonetheless an outlier among his peers, and was bullied as a freak of nature.

However, his strengths as a dual species individual started to shine as he grew older. He retained the immense strength of the Piantas, but the speed and jumping power of a Yoshi. He now works at a small tourist attraction, famed for his throwing ability and as a kind, helpful soul. He is banned from eating competitions.

Pelagie

Pelagie is a Yoshi-Plessie hybrid, hatched from a Plessie Mother and a very brave Yoshi father. She grew up in Doragon Falls, a series of cliffs overlooking Doragon Valley and the Yoshi Seas, so frequently watched Goonie Birds fly and glide from their nests in mountains.

This gave her a wanderlust and desire to one day fly, like the birds she watched as a hatchling and even befriended. Unfortunately, she is too heavy to ride them, and pilot's licenses and training is expensive, so her dream must wait for now.

Doroboshi

Most of Doroboshi's life is a mystery. He's pretty obviously a bandit in a poorly-sewn Yoshi costume, but who his parents are or where he came from is unknown. All that is known is that he never takes it off, and really enjoys the thrill of stealing things.

Mr Nipper

Mr Nipper is a Nipper plant, who works as a milliner (hat maker). He's already living his dream as a haberdasher, and his skill with a needle, silk, and felt is legendary. Donoshi helped him create a few contraptions that made fingerless hatmaking easier.

Plants don't really have genders, but since he prefers the usually-masculine top hat as his primary hat of choice, he/him is a pretty safe bet. His second favorite is his flowered sun-hat, of which wearing makes her Ms Nipper.
